What To Wear To Graduation

What To Wear To Graduation

It’s graduation season! And the air is full of congrats and hopeful yearnings for the future. So after the all-nighters and exam cramming, you only have one more question to answer. What to wear to graduation?! Well, this will be the easiest take home exam ever! This year focus on poppy spring trends like off the shoulder necklines, ruffle details, block heels and mules. Yes - mules! Just work with me on this one. Mules can be cute even in celebratory situations!

Graduations are semi-formal events, so no ball gowns, but also, please… no jeans! And I know you want to break out your big girl heels, but you’ll be doing a lot of walking during graduation. Opt for a midi heel or block heels that are easier to walk in. Or... just go for the flats. Don’t be the girl to fall during commencement.

Whether you’re graduating from high school, college or grad school (or attending someone else’s graduation) you’ll get an A+ in style. Here is what to wear to graduation!

Dress / Earrings / Bracelet / Shoes

Start off with this pretty in pink plus size dress with lots of trendy details. This dress stuns with off the shoulder neckline and ruffles. Add in a fun printed block heels and statement jewelry that complements both the shoes and dress.

Dress / Necklace / Clutch / Shoes

I know I said no ball gowns, but you can def dress down a maxi dress - with mules! I know the word mule is making you think of a recyclable brown oatmeal shoe, but no honey! Today’s mules are fabulous! These high heel pink bow mules are to die for! Pair these with a coordinating feminine dress like this one from Topshop and a coordinating feminine clutch like this one from White House Black Market. And a longish gold necklace will make everything look longer and leaner.

Dress (similar here and here) / Earrings / Clutch / Shoes

Now let’s have some fun! Start off with a simple, pastel blue, off the shoulder dress and jazz it up! Clock blocking and mixing textures is always an easy way to elevate any look. These bauble bar earrings will have you looking like you just stepped off the runway. Add in yellow strappy sandals and this Stella and Dot fringe clutch.

Do you have any suggestions about what to wear to graduation?
