The It Crowd: April's Play! by Sephora Box
Last month I got an email invite from Sephora for their Play! by Sephora subscription box and I whipped out my card so quickly it almost hurt. I'm not subscribed to any other boxes buuttttt it's Sephora and it's only $10 a month and it's Sephora so you know everything in the box is going to be high end. So let's see what's inside the box!
In each box, you'll find a small booklet with information on each product. And then you get to the good stuff! Each box included five deluxe size samples and a fragrance sample. They are definitely a decent size so you can get a few uses out of them. Because nothing sucks more than a single use sample. How am I supposed to know if I like it or if it works are one random use?!
April's box is dubbed "The It Crowd". Each of the products is a celebrity favorite. (But isn't everything lol). This box includes:
Milk Makeup's Sunshine Oil
Brought to you by Milk Studio, host of MADE fashion week in NYC Milk Makeup is hopping on the speciality oil trend. Sunshine Oil is described as an all over oil, it has a blend of grapeseed, avocado, grapefruit peel, tangerine peel, mandarin, and lemon peel. I probably will try it on the ends of my hair or maybe those random ashy spots on my hands.
Sunday Riley's Good Genes TreatmentThis is one of those products I wanted to try but would have never paid full price for. Good Genes is a lactic acid treatment that boasts quite a few claims: corrects dullness, plumps the look of lines, exfoliates the skin and reduces the appearance of stubborn hyperpigmentation, imperfections and visible signs of aging. All you had to tell it was it gets rid of hyperpigmentation and I was on board!
Sephora Collection's Colorful Cheek Ink Gel in PeonyI first this product a little while ago and I admit I didn't know what to think about it. And I still don't, but I'll give it a try. How does one use a gel blush? *brain explodes* The Sephora Collection blush is said to give a long lasting, buildable color. I'll let you all know about this lol
Clinique's Pep-Start Eye CreamI stopped using eye cream after I ran out and just haven't bought any more. So I'm pretty stoked to start using this. Clinque's Pep-start eye cream claims to depuff, brighten, and hydrate with a cooling blast full of peptides. I don't know exactly what means, but the bags under my eyes can use whatever they can get.
Derek Lam 10 Crosby's 2am Kiss
This outer packaging was so cool and pretty I didn't want to open it at first. 2AM Kiss is one of the 10 fragrances that Derek Lam recently released. Inspired by 10 moments Lam observed outside his Soho studio window (at 10 Crosby St) he developed such scents as this one, Drunk on Youth and Blackout. Once I finally opened the scent started pouring out. It has pretty unusual notes of salty caramel and crystallized amber. It's definitely too masculine for me and very strong. I'll be passing.
