Although I got a late start picking out my outfit, I managed to pull together a look I loved! I randomly found this dress at Macy's juuuuust as someone was returned it. It was completely unworn aaanndddd 65% off. After all my discounts, this dress ended up being $16. Yes, Sixteen dollars. Because this dress was relatively simple (at least by my standards), I knew I had to pair it with accessories that popped. So I went for orange accessories. (In color theory, orange and blue are complimentary colors. Wearing them together make the other color appear brighter. I often use this principle when styling outfits.)
As and avid lover of shoes went on the hunt for these bad boys first. Found them in the clearance section of DSW for $35 down from $90. And these shoes are ridiculously comfortable. The soles are very well padded and the heels are thick and sturdy. Seriously, I am going to be wearing these all the time. Next I found the earrings at Forever 21 and finished with a belt from Target. The day of Easter I pulled out my thrifted Jones New York blazer and draped it over my shoulders. Easter was just a bit chilly around these parts.
Not to be undone, my
kid brother had to add a bit of fancy to his Easter Outfit. Obviously the Windsor knot is just not good enough for this young man! He killed the game in his Eldridge knot.
Last but certainly not least, if you have ANY question about where my fancy comes from. It's this lady right here. I might have styled my mom, but she hit these poses like a pro! She's wearing
my a Lauren Ralph Lauren sweater, Charter Club Dress, Target belt (similar to mine) and Calvin Klein pumps.
