October Events Recap
So I'm super late posting about some of my events from the last month. In my defense... I was busy! I've had several interviews and I'm starting a new management position tomorrow ^_^ Anywho..... The BRAG Gala
One of the best events on my calendar each year is the BRAG Gala. It raises money to fund the operation of the organization and the many programs it runs including the internship and scholarship program (both of which I have been able to benefit from). It is always a very glamorous event with some of the biggest names in the retail industry. I'm talking about buyers from Saks and Bloomingdales, representatives from Michael Kors and Fossil and even the CEO of Macy's. But the best part. I met Iman. The supermodel and business woman extraordinaire. Iman. She is hands down the beautiful woman I have ever seen. And she is 58! *runs out and buys allll the Iman Cosmetics she can find* And for the second year in a row, I met Beverly Johnson. The first Black woman on the cover of American Vogue. She looks exactly the same as her cover. Omgosh! Just gorgeous and gracious women. It was such an honor to be in their presence!
I wore a Studio M dress, Via Spiga heels, Rachel Roy earrings and Marc Jacobs for Target clutch.
Despite the craziness of the day, Yardfest was a really great day! I'm kind of upset that Drake and Meek Mills didn't to perform, but it was great seeing my friends and hanging out on my old stomping ground. I posted a what to wear guide last week and instagramed some of the looks. It was truly a weekend of Target collaborations!
