The Best 5 Shows of Milan Fashion Week

Italian fashion comes in a close second to French fashion as my favorite. Great tailoring and draping, strong color stories and avant-garde artistry that can't be replicated. These fashion week collections were no different. In my other reviews (New York and London) see you I seeking newness in runway fashions. London gave me a bit but Milan blew away my expectations. Prada

Spring 2014 Prada

Miuccia Prada can put on a good show but this was exquisite! Prada spun her imagination into a bright, wonderful collection that left even the fashion big wigs in awe. (Okay the faces were sort of creepy, but I get it)

Spring 2014

Collection after collection, Missoni blends old and new world Italian fashion into a collection that's sought after by the young and the young at heart. The prints and color story of this show were spot on and so sophisticated.

Dolce and Gabbana

Spring 2014 Dolce and Gabbana

"One gold watch, two gold chains / Six gold rings, it's nothing" Okay so maybe Trinidad James wasn't rapping about the D&G show, but it was, to my delight, (almost) all gold everything. The show was so breezy and cool. And here's that word again: sophisticated.

Spring 2014

The collection is just so chic. It's very young and hip and indicative of the creativity that is Karl Lagerfeld.

Spring 2014

Gucci's been hit or miss to me over the past few seasons. But I am in love with this collection. Gucci oozes sophisticated sex appeal and the finest luxury. The colors are dark yet rich and clothes make you feel like you can conquer the world.

Milan Fashion Week has thus far been my favorite. Show after show, more luxuriously and artistic than the next. (I mean... Check out the Armani show!) Next up is Paris Fashion week, birth of modern fashion and home to haute couture. You know I'm excited!

You can keep up with the best of Paris Fashion Week by following me on instagram. I post mini reviews of some less popular designers.
