A few years ago I was selected to be a College Bound scholar and received scholarship money for my first year of school. Thanks in part to the generosity of the College Bound Foundation I was able to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Howard University this past May. Following in my footsteps, my younger brother was also selected to be a College Bound scholar last year. Let's just say our family is very appreciative of the work the College Bound Foundation does. Each year the foundation holds a luncheon to celebrate the accomplishments of that years' scholars. It is always a very lovely event held at the Baltimore Hilton. Every time we have a opportunity to attend our family does so. This year I thought it would be the perfect occasion to style my mother (and of course myself) for the lunch. Macy's was having a tremendous clearance sale and I got these two Lauren Ralph Lauren dresses for a steal!
I paired my mom's dress with Worthington pearl earrings, Bandolino peep toe pumps, a matching LRL sweater and silver bangles.
I styled my dress with blue triangle earrings from Forever21, a pearl necklace from Nordstrom Rack, gold DV wedges from Target and my fav Oscar De La Renta for Target bag.
Like mother, like daughter. What can I say #HowardWomen do it the best!
